1. Service Description

BetterMe is a personal habit tracking and mood recording app designed to help users:

• Build good habits and break bad ones
• Record daily moods and discover mood-habit correlations
• Improve self-management through timers, reminders, and other features
• (Optional) Integrate with Apple Health and Screen Time for automated tracking

The app offers free basic features and Pro premium features.

2. Account and Subscription

2.1 Free Features

• Create up to 3 habits
• Basic mood recording features
• Local data storage

2.2 Pro Features

• Unlimited habit quantity
• HealthKit automatic sync check-in
• Screen Time monitoring and intervention
• Deep mood insights analysis
• Mood diary media attachments (photos/videos/audio)
• Custom mood tags

2.3 Subscription Terms

• Subscription types: Monthly, Annual, Lifetime memberships
• All subscriptions are managed and billed through Apple App Store
• Auto-renewing subscriptions will automatically renew within 24 hours before the current period ends
• You can disable auto-renewal at any time in iPhone Settings
• After the free trial period (if any), it will automatically convert to a paid subscription
• We support Pro membership redemption via official promo codes

3. User Responsibilities

When using this app, you agree to:

• Provide true and accurate information (e.g., when setting habit goals)
• Safeguard your Apple ID account information
• Comply with applicable laws and regulations
• Not use the app for any illegal or harmful purposes
• Not attempt to crack, modify, or reverse engineer the app
• Not disseminate illegal, infringing, or harmful content through the app

4. Intellectual Property

All content of this app, including but not limited to:

• App code, interface design, icons, and images
• Text content, audio and video materials
• Trademarks, service marks, and trade dress

are protected by the intellectual property laws of the People's Republic of China and international treaties, and are owned by the BetterMe developer.

Content you record (habit data, mood diaries, attachments, etc.) belongs to you, and we do not claim any rights to it.

5. Data and Privacy

We highly value your privacy protection:

• All data is stored locally on your device and/or in your iCloud account
• We do not operate our own servers to store your personal data
• We will not sell or share your data with third parties (except for necessary technical service providers)

6. Disclaimer

6.1 Service Availability

We are committed to providing stable service, but do not guarantee:

• The app will never be interrupted or completely error-free
• The immediacy or reliability of iCloud synchronization (affected by Apple services)
• The complete accuracy of HealthKit or Screen Time data

6.2 Health-Related Disclaimer

This app is not a medical health tool:

• Habit tracking and mood recording features are for reference and personal growth use only
• Do not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
• If you have health concerns, please consult professional medical personnel

6.3 Data Loss

We are not responsible for data loss in the following situations:

• You actively delete data or uninstall the app
• Device damage, loss, or theft
• Local data loss due to not enabling iCloud sync
• Force majeure factors (e.g., natural disasters, war, etc.)

Recommendation: Regularly enable iCloud sync and backup important data.

7. Third-Party Services

The app may contain or link to third-party services:

• Apple iCloud, HealthKit, Screen Time, StoreKit
• Tencent Bugly (crash analytics)
• Social media platforms (e.g., WeChat, rednote, only for contact information display)

These third-party services are subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the content or behavior of third-party services.

8. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Use at any time:

• For material changes, we will notify you within the app
• Continued use of the app constitutes your acceptance of the modified terms
• If you do not agree to the modified terms, please stop using the app

9. Service Termination

We may terminate our services to you in the following circumstances:

• You materially breach these Terms of Use
• Required by laws and regulations
• We decide to cease operating the app (will provide 30 days' notice)

After service termination, you will still have a reasonable period to export your data.

10. Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall first be resolved through friendly negotiation; if negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit in the people's court where the developer is located.
